Every multinational corporation I work with would like to see more innovation - to save time and money, increase sales.  But most of the efforts I see tend to be "me too" innovation. Learning from competitors is almost always a smart thing to do but if that is ALL we do, then we are never going to excell.  At best we will be imitators, and at worst, we will always be late, behind the curve, and by the time we have implemented the changes we should have done before, our competitors have moved on.  That is why we need transformational innovation:  innovate over the heads of competitors, surprise them and your customers with innovations that are magnificent, visionary, absolutely right, perfectly executed.
